We are excited about your decision to be water baptized at RChurch! This is a significant step in your faith journey, and can’t wait to celebrate the special day with you. 

At RChurch, we practice baptism by full immersion in water – meaning you are going to get soaked! You will want to bring clothing to change into for the water baptism, dark colored clothing you do not mind getting wet. Most people wear dark shorts or pants and a dark t-shirt. You may want to bring sandals or flip flops to walk around in before and after. Changing facilities will be available, and there will be a set time for you to change. There’s a quick checklist below. Also, don’t forget to invite your family and friends to celebrate with you and be a part of this special day.

Checklist of things to bring:

___ Dark t-shirt and dark shorts (for water baptism)

___ Change of clothes (for after water baptism) 

___ Large towel (for drying off)

___ Flip-flops, sandals or water shoes

___ Pony tail holder (if you have long hair)

___ Toiletries or other personal items (for after the baptism)

___ A small plastic bag or sack for your wet clothes

What to expect:

• Be prepared to answer YES when asked if you have committed your life to follow Jesus. You will also be asked to share a short testimony of WHY you want to be baptized. This is your opportunity to share your experience as a Jesus follower in a few brief sentences! You can tell us How has Jesus made a difference in your life or What scripture in your Christian walk has meant a lot to you and why!
• You will be instructed on how to hold your arms so they can be lowered into the water. This part is easy! Just relax and enjoy the experience.
• Celebration! This will be an important moment in your new life as a Jesus follower and we are excited to be able to celebrate with you!
